I'm not sure if its a mushroom or a toadstool, but I'm calling it a mushroom because it looks like one to me. The picture came from a free photo resource
here. Always click on the image to make sure its free - it will say so!
This was done in my new tinted charcoal pencils (Derwent) and small black pad. It was a lot of fun and the pencils, easy to work with. Charcoal always blends so well.
Another beauty. I will have to look into tinted charcaol-this color range looks really nice. I see a budding botancial artist in you Chris.
ReplyDeleteI had forgotten about morgue file so thanks for bringing it to my attention. I had used them in the past for graphic design classes and was telling Garry he should submit his photos to them but I couldn't actually name "them".
Thanks for the feedback, and I wish Garry all success at sharing his photos. What's the deal with that - do photographers get free advertising or is it just the thrill of having your pictures online? I always wondered what was the incentive for offering images for free. I love that they do, but hope they get something out of it too!
ReplyDeleteI really like the charcoal tinted pencils, beautiful colours, great for anything of an earthy hue.
I think that is good exposure. I suppose that if your work is getting downloaded enough that other agencies probably take note as well. Even charging a nominal fee could well add up so I encourage that anybody who does photography look into it.
DeleteI'm going to check out the pencils then. I have conte crayons which I like but they are limited in their tints. Based on what I see here, I think I'd like the pencils even more.
